| Artist Choice Glazes-Lead
Free These special effect glazes imitate the Artist-Potter's favorites.
The are cone 05 oxidation glazes that look like high fired reductions
stoneware. They look there best over dark firing clay. The color
in the clay will partially show through the texture and add another color
dimension to the glaze. These glazes will look completely different
depending on the clay they are applied on. Apply over Cone 04 fired
bisque or higher. Better results are achieved when red clay is fired one
or more cones higher than the glaze firing. For glazes A-24 and A-40
fire slowly and add a 20 minutes hold at the end of the firing. The
other glazes in the series will work well where they are fired fast or slow

| Old World Crackle Glazes
Cone 06-05 Crackle glaze are formulated to produce a network of cracks on
fired ware similar to crazing, giving it an old or antique look. These
glazes can be used for an all over coverage or they can be applied over an
underglaze. Because of the transparency of the crackle glazes, the
underglaze design will show through. To emphasize the crackle after
firing, swab the line with colored ink. Crackle glazes are recommended
for decorative items only, they are not food
safe, as these glazes do not seal the surface of the ware
as other glazes do. Apply three cross hatched coats over a mature bisque

| Luster & Metallic Glazes
Cone 05: The Amaco LM Matt Glaze series is one of the most pleasing for
decorative art pottery. Matt glazes are non flowing, they are adaptable
for some unique types of decoration. Recommended firing temperature for
these glazes is Cone 05. These glazes must be applied on a mature cone
04 bisque. Slow firing is recommended. |

| Alligator Glazes
***All LT series glazes are lead free except 24,31,115,121,122,130,133,142,and
144.
We recommend firing Lt-22 at cone 06 because it flows more then other
glazes in this series
Cone 04-06. No two pieces glazed are ever alike due to many
variations in texture which occur in firing. Variegated matt textures
predominate at the lower firing temperatures and gloss textures at the higher
with a mingling of matt and gloss between the extremes.
