Bari Precious has been playing with
clay since childhood.
Her love for clay has taken her from her home in western Canada
where she majored in sculpture at the Vancouver School of Art to
Iran where she worked as a potter on an archeological dig with Ohio
State University. In 1995, she returned to MSU to complete her
degree. She graduated with a BFA in ceramics in 2001, opened
her pottery studio, and became a full time potter. Now she
spends all her time throwing, glazing, and firing her work.
The clay is a mid fire stoneware
(from L&R), fired in an electric kiln with glazes she mixes herself.
All the ingredients are safe and lead free. The pieces can be
used in the oven, microwave, and are dishwasher safe. Each
piece is completely original and promises to give you joy as you
become familiar with it's use and personality.
Bari is happy to answer any questions
