LOW FIRE ^06-^04
WHITE EARTHENWARE
A smooth clay body; good for the wheel and hand building. A favorite for teachers and students. Fires white.
RED EARTHENWARE
Fires red-orange to red-brown at higher temperatures. Good for wheel and hand building
TERRA COTTA
Fires orange-red to red-brown at higher temperatures. Lots of grog- good for hand building and larger wheel pieces.
RAKU
Made to withstand the thermal shock associated with the raku firing process. Toothy body good for wheel and hand building. Blushes at lower temperatures.
WHITE RAKU
Fires white and is slightly smoother than the raku clay body. Good for wheel and hand building.

 

MID FIRE ^4-^6
BROWN
Toasty brown for a gas fired look in electric, smooth body good for throwing, medium grog
BUFF
Great for wheel, medium to smooth body, nice light brown, medium grog
DEEP RED
Responsive like a red porcelain, throws like smooth stoneware
RED
Good toothy body, looks like high fire reduction in oxidation, medium grog
WHITE
A smooth clay, throws well and give a good response with color, fine grog
